Why SayMoney?
SayMoney is your household budget and receipt vault in one app: record transactions manually or conveniently via voice commands, photograph or import receipts as images or PDFs, attach them to bookings, and quickly find everything with offline full-text search — all on your device. The assistant Simone AI is by your side for intelligent support with receipts and questions. The app is available cross-platform on desktop and mobile devices. Optional encrypted synchronization backs up receipts and data via external cloud services. No bank login, no ads, no subscription: buy once and add only what you need.
If I buy the Pro version for macOS or Windows, do I have to buy the mobile version as well?
No. You get the mobile Pro version for free with a promo code.
How can I synchronize my data across multiple devices?
You can securely sync your data using Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive. Your transaction data is fully encrypted during synchronization.
Why doesn't the app support subcategories?
To keep the interface fast and intuitive, we avoid complex subcategory structures. Instead, you can create specific categories and use our powerful filtering and grouping tools in the reports to achieve the same level of detail without the added complexity.
Can I use SayMoney without an internet connection?
Yes. SayMoney works 100% offline. You don't need a bank login or an active internet connection to manage your finances. Internet is only required if you choose to use the optional cloud synchronization or voice features.
Is my financial data shared with third parties?
Never. SayMoney is ad-free and tracking-free. Your data belongs to you. It is stored locally on your device or in your private cloud account. We have no access to your financial history.
How does the voice control feature work?
Voice input and output are free for everyone, with a fair daily limit. On Overview, speak naturally — for example “I spent 20 for beer”. SayMoney first fills amount, account, category and note on your device. Commands such as “New expense” open a short guided form. Only if neither amount, category nor account can be derived, and Simone AI is active, is the text sent to Simone. Recognition uses the Microsoft Speech SDK. Voice output on desktop and iOS uses Google TTS. We do not store your voice recordings on our servers.
Is the Simone AI assistant included in SayMoney Pro?
No. Simone AI is a separate one-time purchase and works in the Basic version as well as in Pro. Unlike every other feature it causes ongoing costs with every question, which is why it is offered on its own. You can try it free for three days, and it includes up to 10 questions per day. If you already own Pro, you get the add-on at a reduced price. Because the running costs apply per platform, it is bought separately for desktop and mobile.
